EVENING NIGHTCAP: Marky Mark Leaving Las Vegas? RIP Michael Gambon (aka Dumbledore). Yea, Sure Mick *insert eye roll*.
It's a slow news day. I was able to dig out of the internet cat litter box a few dingleberries. First off, we have Mick Jagger saying stupid shit no one believes. Then we have Marky Mark who moved to Las Vegas about a year ago and now sold his house, which looks like a citadel with a pool. I have a theory about why he sold it but it's based on the mimosa I had while reading about it. I've never had a mimosa. I'm more of a beer or martini drinker. I have to say the mimosa was not bad. It tasted like a fizzy screwdriver.
Alrighty....let's get started.
► Has Marky Mark (Govt Name: Mark Wahlberg) fallen out of love with living in Las Vegas? If you recall, he ditched Los Angeles earlier this year. He sold his $90 million LA mansion because he wanted to raise his family in a more normal environment. And what's more normal than Las Vegas, baby! He purchased a 2.5 acre lot for $15 million in a snotty exclusive community. He also bought a $14 million house for the family to temporarily live at while they build their palatial McMansion. Fast forward: They sold the Vegas house. The lot where they were planning to build their estate is just sitting there, with tumbleweeds for company. Below is a photo of his little Las Vegas abode he just sold. Read More

Comment: Mark Wahlberg has been crusade to make Las Vegas a global film location - the next Hollywood location. He lobbied Nevada lawmakers to increase tax credits for film production from $10 million / per year to $190 million over the next 20 years. I have to wonder if his dreams of being the next Louis B. Mayer: Vegas Edition were dashed and that's why he's selling. Or maybe his house (above) didn't have a big enough yard. Or it was too small for the family of 6. Eh, who knows.
► Irish actor Sir Michael Gambon, best known as Dumbledore in the Harry Potter film franchise, has died. He was 82. Michael had suffered from a bout of pneumonia recently. Michael was mainly a stage actor, having worked alongside Laurence Olivier, Derek Jacobi, Maggie Smith, and many others in the UK and US. While most of his career was spent on stage, he did jump to the big screen. His films include Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow, Amazing Grace, Gosford Park, Open Range, The Insider, The Cook - The Thief-The Wife-The Lover, and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. Michael was married for many years but he and his wife separated in 2002 (they had one son) and never divorced. He lived with his partner Phillipa Hart and they had 2 kids. Read More

Comments: Besides being an actor, Michael was a pilot and enjoyed racing cars. Condolences to his family.
► In "Yea, sure whatever you say": In an interview with the Wall Street Journal Magazine to promote the Rolling Stones new album, Hackney Diamonds, Mick Jagger, who is 80 yrs old, eluded they were thinking of donating their post 1971 music catalog to charity. Mick said, "the children don't need $500 million to live well. Come on". Their post 1971 music catalog includes the albums Goats Head Soup, Some Girls, Tattoo You, and Black & Blue. In case you're wondering, Mick and Keith Richards do not own their pre-1971 music catalog as they sold the rights way back in their early days to Allan Klein. Allan kept ownership of the music but Mick and Keith get royalties. Read More
Comment: Mick is driven by money. That's why he keeps touring and making shitty albums, well past his and the band's prime. I highly doubt Mick will just hand over the music catalog to charity. Nice try Mick. It was a good click-bait ploy to promote the new album.
