Once upon a time, there was a land called D-Listia where the hors and hookers went to ply their trade, sometimes rough, sometimes strange. It was here that one night before D-Listia closed its ports, a bunch of old tawdry sluts decided to name songs that made them want to stab their eardrums with wooden chopsticks. There are so many for me that I was left feeling that this subject was worth revisiting. You know those songs. The ones where you are innocently shopping in the local grocery store and suddenly, over the speakers, Alanis Morrisette's 'Isn't It Ironic' blares cruelly, chasing you down the aisles and filling you with so much rage you end up gritting your teeth until it ends. You breathe a sigh of relief only to hear 'Midnight At The Oasis' with those fucking nonsensical 70s lyrics follow it up. It is over by the time Natalie Imbruglia starts her 90s song that shall not be named. You have abandoned the store, realizing that some cosmic force was at play
