WEEKEND MORNING COFFEE: Felicity Kicks Off Fake Apology Tour. So Does Julianna. David Caruso Sighting. Macaulay Gets A Star.

Ugh, my aching back. I'm spending the weekend with a heating pad lamenting old age and arthritis sneaking up on me. Sucks getting old. In between wobbling around the house and having a bowl of Golden Crisp - used to be called Sugar Crisp (don't judge), I rustled up these breakfast goodies for your entertainment. Enjoy the weekend.

♦  Felicity Huffman has decided the best way to show remorse and do penance about her role in the college admission scandal is to make some lame ass excuse why she did it. In an interview with Los Angeles affiliate of ABC, she said this gem of elitism bullshit:

“I felt like I had to give my daughter a chance at a future. I had to break the law.” 

Felicity also chimed her daughter had a "learning disability" as a factor her spawn wasn't getting into colleges. So what's the "learning disability"? Her daughter couldn't do math. She also used the interview to kick off her Penance Tour by promoting the non profit she's been assigned to as part of her court ordered community service. Here's the punchline:  After the scandal, her daughter was admitted to Carnegie Mellon, one of the hardest colleges/ universities to get into in the USA with a 14% admission rate.  So much for her daughter not being able to do math.  Read More and Read Some More + Video

Comment: IMO, Felicity came across during the interview as the textbook definition of a smug entitled ahole. She is not sorry in the least bit for what she did and her explanation is a crock of crap. She learned nothing from her actions.  I think she's bitter that she got caught and is pissed at the audacity that her social status didn't protect her from prosecution. The entire interview was Felicity putting on an act.

Comment: If you read between the lines, Julianna did not take back anything she said. Therefore she can can take her fake apology and shove it up her ass.  She showed the world her true self in that interview and is not sorry for what she said. She just want to salvage her career. I hope she's dropped by her agent, studio, and advertisers. Oh, and piss off Julianna. 

♦ Macaulay Culkin received a Hollywood Walk of Fame honor on Friday. The ceremony was attended by Catherine O'Hara (who played his mom in Home Alone), Natasha Lyonne, Brenda Song - his girlfriend and mom to their 2 kids, and Paris Jackson. Read More

Comment:  I'm digging the mohawk his son is sporting. Very retro. Macaulay looks like he was woken up from a nap and given 5 minutes to shit, shower, and skip the shave. Guess that's what being a dad does to you. Congrats to him.

♦ Retired actor David Caruso (67) made a rare public appearance. The last time he was seen out in public was 6 years ago. David retired from acting after CSI: Miami was cancelled after 10 seasons back in 2012. Since then he's kept a low profile and has become something of a recluse. Read More

Comment: I recently watched Rambo (the original) and forgot that David Caruso was in it. He had a small role as a deputy. When I saw the photo above I thought it was Danny Elfman. Not in a million years would I have guessed it was David Caruso. Enjoy retirement.
