EVENING NIGHTCAP: Baby Yoda & Mandalorian Getting A Movie. JLo's New Video = Future Wedding #5. A Mediocre 1980s TV Show Getting Rebooted.
► Jennifer Lopez-Noa-Judd-Anthony-(almost Rodriguez)-Affleck released the video for "Can't Get Enough", the feature song in her new album. From the looks of the video, she can't get enough of weddings. The video depicts the real life serial bride in...wait for it...a wedding. The ridiculous video must have been sponsored by Frederick's of Hollywood and Men's Warehouse outlet stores. Read More

Comment: IMO, the groom resembles a mashup of her 4 husbands - especially husband #1 &2 (Noa and Judd) with a splash of ex-boyfriend Casper Smart and a pinch of ex Sean Combs for the "ick" factor. The dress she's wearing in the video is tacky AF. Not even Temu or Shein would sell that rag. The only thing missing is a stripper pole and a few sailors on shore leave in Atlantic City throwing loose change at her. JLo's obsession with weddings continues even in fiction. BTW: assuming she was poking fun at herself (which I doubt), the video is a trashy, juvenile attempt by a 54 yr old who is desperate to stay relevant. She's entered Madonna territory of despair.
► For those of you who grew up in the 1980's, the TV show "Fall Guy" is getting rebooted as a movie. The TV show was about a stuntman (played by Lee Majors) who had a side gig as a bounty hunter. The reboot features Ryan Gosling in the starring role along with Emily Blunt. Since Hollywood can't fathom the idea of original and creative writing and movie making, the industry will continue its lazy, predictable auto pilot ways to reboot anything it can get its hands on including a mediocre, 40+ year old TV show that has no business being resurrected. The movie will make its debut at SXSW this spring. Read More

Comment: Is it me or is Ryan Gosling giving off Indiana Jones vibes in the publicity photo above? I remember watching the Fall Guy. It was an okay show. Definitely not worthy of a reboot / remake / rehash especially as a movie. Since few details about the movie plot have been shared. I suspect the movie will be 90 minutes of explosions, car chases, fights, and Ryan gazing at the camera like "Tough Hombre Ken".
► Baby Yoda is getting the big screen treatment. Disney /Lucasfilm announced today they will continue to wring every drop out of the Star Wars franchise with a new movie: The Mandalorian and Grogu. It will be going into production sometime this year. The movie will follow in the footsteps of the hit show. No word if Pedro Pascal, who portrays the Mandalorian in the TV series, will be in the movie adaptation. Knowing Hollywood, they will probably cast Timothee Chamlaladingdong Chamlet, Ezra Miller, or Tom Holland. Read More

Comment: I don't subscribe to Disney+ so I have not seen The Mandalorian. I do think Baby Yoda is darn cute and I like Pedro Pascal (who was very good in Narcos). I highly doubt I will pay to see this movie. First of, I don't like going to theaters. Movie tickets are waaaay too expensive. And don't get me started on the overpriced popcorn and snacks. Plus, I don't want to deal with people talking or being on their cells phones and acting like jackholes. The movie will eventually make its way online.
