EVENING NIGHTCAP: Jim Carrey Needs Money. Blake & Ryan Can't Dress. American Psycho Reboot.
► During an interview to promote his latest movie, Sonic The Hedgehog 3, Jim Carrey admitted the only reason he's reprising his role a Dr. Robotnik is because he needs money. Jim has kept a low profile for the past couple of years. Sounds like between making creepy videos about his love for Emma Stone (remember that...ew!) and becoming a painter (artist), the bills must be piling up. Or maybe he took a money management class from Tori Spelling at the Learning Annex. He supposedly has a net worth of $180 million and needs money? Um, okay. Anyway, Jim gargled out this quote about why he went back to the trough of the Sonic franchise for a quick payday. And no...he wasn't being funny nor kidding. Read More
"I bought a lot of stuff and I need the money, frankly." - Jim Carrey
Comment: I'd like to know what "stuff" he bought. I know art supplies can be expensive, but sheesh.. If he's having money issues, then give up on the idea of being the next Picasso. I have 3 pieces of advice for Jim: 1) Get yourself Quicken - make a budget & stick it to; 2) Learn to live within your means; and 3) Stop spending money on junk.

► At a special screening for Wicked in NYC, Blake NotSoLively and Ryan Reynolds showed up looking like they got trapped in a time warp at a 1980's outlet mall. Blake wore an outfit that combined Old Navy outlet meets Dorothy's ruby red stripper heels. She accessorized it with a purse from the Alice Evans 5-Minute Craft Collezione. Meanwhile, Ryan's attire reflected his personality: basic man-bitch beige. Read More
Comment: If this was Blake's idea of suburban mom pays homage to Wicked, she gets a "F". She and Ryan have turned into the most obnoxious thirsty media hos since Jennifer-Lopez-Noa-Judd-Almost Affleck-Anthony-Almost Rodriguez-Affleck-TBD. At their rate, they're going to win the triple crown for Overplayed, Overdone, and Overexposed Celeb.

► American Psycho, a classic 1991 novel by Bret Easton Ellis that in 2000 was made into a movie starring Christian Bale, is getting "reinterpreted" (translation: rebooted / remade/ rehash) with Austin Butler in the lead as Patrick Bateman. Fans of the book and movie were already pissed that there was talk about this happening. But now, reality has hit them over the head like Patrick's axe. The backlash about remaking it (ooops...I mean "reinterpreting") has been swift. Hollywood didn't learn a thing when they made the disastrous sequel, American Psycho 2, with Mila Kunis and William Shatner. Read More
"I’m sorry, we do NOT need a new American psycho film. i don’t care if Patrick Bateman himself is directing. No! Let something be sacred still."
"An American psycho remake is the last thing we need. American psycho is perfect as it is. that movie does not need improvements."
"I don’t want it. That’s how perfect AMERICAN PSYCHO already is."
Comment: American Psycho was a great movie. It was a breakout role for Christian Bale. He embodied to perfection the character of Patrick Batemen, the deranged yuppie of the 1980s who goes on a killing spree. I cannot see Austin Butler, who looks and acts like a Popsicle stick cosplaying k.d.lang, in the titular role of Patrick. Damn you Hollywood for ruining another classic movie.
