OPEN POST: The Origin Of "Hump Day!"
Did you know? The term "Hump Day" originally referred to a camel's hump, which was supposed to represent the highest peak of the week before the weekend. Yet beware, as office managers nationwide have warned:
"Wishing a 'Happy Hump Day' to a coworker or subordinate is highly inappropriate, as it can be interpreted as suggestive. It's better to use the more neutral term, 'Happy Wednesday,' or even just 'Wednesday.'" Or, like the two Army coworkers above, you can merely give a gentle pat or two, but only if invited to do so. You may simultaneously exclaim "Hump!" if so moved. Please make a note of this.
