Post A Pup Sundays: When Dogs Show Love!
I love my dogs to distraction, and when they know I am down or stressed, one in particular, a mix of who knows and who cares breed, cuddles me, strokes my hair, and will not leave my side. She does this with everyone, thinking it is her job. We nicknamed her LoveyDovey because she is a bundle of love. She had a very rough start, abused and starved by a cruel "owner," a rescuer I know just stole her and ran off with her. She couldn't bear to walk by that house on her way to work and see this poor young pup be mistreated anymore. Operation Save Her (as I call it) was unleashed, and she just dognapped her. None of us is sorry. That guy didn't deserve her. Neighbors had reported him several times, we found out, but nothing had been done, so my friend took action. It isn't the best idea, but sometimes it is the only idea. She thanks us daily for her loving home, but she gives so much more than we could ever give back. She's getting old now, but it hasn't stopped her from being our LoveyDovey.
