My sister has Dobermans. She loves them, and so does her husband. That's her favorite breed, and if anyone has paid attention to things I say about my sister, it is fitting. But she ended up with a Frenchie duo as puppies. Someone she knew paid an enormous sum for them and then decided it had been a mistake. So she took them. They are little clowns, and she is in love with them. The dobermans are protective of them and seem in love, too. Her son has started making little movies with the dogs, and the Frenchies seem to be natural stars.
