Can you find them? Did you lose them?  Years ago, I had the absolute best pair of Vuarnet sunglasses with cobalt blue frames and left them at a trick's place one afternoon. I called him the next day and he swore he couldn't find them anywhere. Bitch was wearing them a week or so later in Fire Island, but claimed he bought them on his own because he admired mine.
