OPEN POST: Hosted By The Schlocktacular 1982 TV Movie, "Fantasies!"
In 1982, I was a poor, yet simple, boy of 8 or 9, and I watched everything. We had 3 networks and 2 PBS stations, as well as 2 local stations that showed bowling, farm reports and some sort of stupid puppet show - as well as a really awesome show on Saturday nights that had old black-and-white, scary (but not really scary) movies. "Fantasies" was not among those, though it was a major, prime-time network movie, and it concerned the stars of "a very sexy soap opera" being murdered by a psycho stalker killer, the hook being that it starred ACTUAL SOAP OPERA STARS (!), the main one being the delightful Miss Robin Mattson from "General Hospital" and that dude from "All My Children" who's most famous for the commercial in which he muttered those immortal words, "I'm not a doctor, but I play one on TV."
