Travis Scott's Concert At Egypt's Pyramids Is Cancelled!

King-Tut-a-palooza! Travis Scott, seen above demonstrating his sick dance moves 37 minutes after audience members were crushed to death during a mass-casualty event at his "Astroworld" concert in Texas, has been denied permission by the Egyptian government to perform a concert in front of the Pyramids of Giza. Which totally Sphinx, don't you think?

Live Nation is citing the "complexities" of the production as the reason for shutting down the show. Which I totally get, and yet, it also seems like Egypt's musicians union wanted Travis to "Walk Like an Egyptian" (I had to!) right out or their country, because his concerts, they say, go against the "cultural identity of the Egyptian people." Sure, whatever, butt-hurt mummies. I mean, why wouldn't you want to hear Travis rap, "It ain't a mosh pit if ain't no injuries!" in front of thousands of people. Party poopers!

Now before you think, *That's racist* gif, keep in mind, many Black singers and groups have preformed at the pyramids, from Louis Armstrong to The Black Eyed Peas. Which could mean that the Egyptians have a bone to pick - archeology-adjacent joke! - with Travis himself. Again, unfair! And many are leaping to Travis' defense, including none other than Egyptian gold mine and telecom billionaire Naguib Sawiris, who says that Travis has performed without incident before in Saudi Arabia, which, as we know, is a pillar of tolerance and safety. Besides, Sawiris believes our real concern about the pyramids should be for issues related to "horses (and) camels." Same, Sawiris, same.

No word yet from truth-teller Kylie Jenner, Travis' on-again-off-again piece with whom he coparents crotch-droppings, Stormi and Arie. But given that she's carved up her face more than an Egyptian mummy being readied for burial - did they tug her brain matter out through her nostrils, too, or was that unnecessary? - I'd wager that she'll be Queen of Denial and say nothing. Just like she did about Astroworld.
