Toxic Couples: Ioan Gruffudd and Alice Evans

They had been quiet for a while, and I had forgotten about the Bedazzler and her ex. The divorce had been finalized, and a three-year restraining in place against the Bedazzler so there would be no more unhinged rants on social media, and therefore, the drama should have died down. If nothing more than for the sake of the children. This is where you are supposed to scoff and call me naive. I will admit that I haven't read everything about them because I have known a few Alice's in my life, and I can almost smell her dysfunction through the screen, and she's following the playbook like she wrote the damn thing.

The courts have taken Alice to task for doing the classic NPD behaviors they see daily when one parent is volatile and has virulent abandonment issues that inform every decision they make. She can't get past the fact that her partner left, and her obsession with destroying him supersedes everything. Not only does she want him to pay, but she also wants to annihilate him, and nothing short of leaving a grease stain where Ioan used to be will quench her thirst. His suffering fuels her soul, and she uses her leverage kids to do it. I am not the kind of feminist who thinks a vagina is a shield from a complaint, nor do I side with women just because our society is not balanced or fair.

I knew she was delusional when I saw her fashion crafts. No one but someone living on an outer rung of Saturn would think that shit was worth selling on Etsy. My retinas burned when I first saw her creations; I hadn't truly believed they could have been as bad as many D listers claimed. We are an unruly bunch ready with our quick fingers and sharp tongues to shred a bitch. Then I saw them, and the horrible realization slammed into my brain that these were not summer camp projects done by six year olds; from then on, I was open to disliking Alice for vision abuse.

Thirty years ago, women like the Bedazzler got away with abusing the court system and using Parental Alienation because it was nearly always considered better for children to remain with the mother. The courts were unaware of personality disorders, so if the better parent was the father, it was too bad because they were set up for failure, and the children lost out. Horrible fathers usually withheld money and pretended their first family never existed; they rarely fought the courts for the responsibility of raising their own spawn. Now things are balanced, and anyone can be seen as unfit regardless of their sex which has been better for the kids. In Jolina and Brad's case, a pack of hyenas should have made off with the kids in the dead of night. Run free, Viv! Run free boy twin who no one ever sees!

In this latest play, Ioan accused Alice of abusing the kids. He wants them to be consistent with their therapy; she says there is no need because they are regular, adjusted kids. Now didn't she say they were suffering at one point? That their daughter was so distraught she had to file an RO against her father? Alice skips sessions and refuses to take the girls regularly. The Bedazzler asserts that her ex never visits or takes advantage of visitation, nor does he call the kids for weeks at a time.

She says, 'I do not agree to have the children, and ourselves be subjected to a prolonged and expensive child custody evaluation if it's based on the speculation and conjecture of the petitioner's suspicions. Petitioner says he believes the kids are suffering serious emotional harm but shows no proof of any symptoms experienced by our girls to support those accusations.' Alice claims children who suffer from severe emotional harm show signs of their emotional state by being withdrawn, frightened, self-harming, depressed, or anxious and that their girls don't. Huh? If so, why doesn't she want the courts to see examples of her excellent mothering? Wouldn't an innocent person want that to be on the record? What is the Bedazzler hiding besides a closet bursting with five years worth of Michael's impulse buys and swap meet "finds"?

Ioan has plenty of faults, and she might have some warranted complaints about him somewhere in her chaotic mind. They get lost in her need for revenge, bizarre social media photo shoots, and addiction to being important on IG. Her behavior is offputting and plain old weird.

Recently, a relentless troll went after her on social media, and they had no mercy. The troll probably thinks they won, but humanity is the loser. When Alice is aggrieved, she gets creative, and there have been sightings of her in crafts stores wielding a glue gun with a cart full of adornments and a purpose. She is an Artiste Reborn, ready to go to war one eyesore at a time.
