The U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is banning signs like these gems:

Whether or not you've enjoyed these signs likely depends on your tolerance for dad jokes, but now you don't have to make the choice to laugh or groan. FHWA has released a new 1,100 page (yes, 1,100 pages) manual that U.S. states have two years to implement. Now, signs can only use "simple, direct, brief, legible, and clear" language and only include important warnings, such as if you're approaching a crash. Good for safety, sad for your funny bone and this husky.
