EVENING NIGHTCAP: JLo Is A Hypocrite (so is Idris Elba and a few others...what else is new). Katie Holmes STILL Dresses Like Shit - The Sequel.

► Jennifer Lopez-Noa-Judd-Anthony-almost Rodriguez-Affleck, who takes pride in being a gay icon, has found herself in a scandal of her own making.  JLo was the guest of honor and performed at the grand opening of the One &Only One Za'abeel in Dubai.  Why is this an escandalo?  Because Dubai, which is part of the United Arab Emirates, has one of the worst records for human rights especially for LGBTQ and women. They are a very anti-gay and a misogynistic culture. They'll throw anyone in prison who publicly identifies LGBTQ. And women barely have any rights.  JLo was paid $5 million for the appearance (plus I'm sure all her expenses were covered).

People are PISSED because she's been an outspoken supporter for LGBTQ for years. So much so that in 2014, she was honored with the Vanguard Award by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) for her dedicated advocacy of gay rights. JLo's ass is being dragged across the block not only for her hypocrisy of claiming to support gays but also for claiming to be an advocate of women's rights. 

While JLo is getting piled on for being a hypocrite, other celebs in attendance are getting an earful for being shit bags as well. This includes Mark Ronson, Idris Elba (and his wife Sabrina), Vanessa Hudgens, Naomi Campbell, and British tennis player Emma Raducanu.  

Peter Tatchell, a gay rights activist summed it up best:

Comment: The world is finally figuring what some of us have known for decades: that JLo is full of shit. Everything she does is to advance her career. The only thing she supports is money and fame. She doesn't give a shit who about who she throws under the bus as long as it benefits her. I have never liked JLo and this latest stunt cements my loathing for her. While I'm at it, Idris Elba (who I respected as a actor and person) can piss off. He of all people should have known better.  In 2021, Idris and 67 other celebs signed a pledge against Ghana condemning the country for their anti-gay policies. It's infuriating when people don't practice what they preach. They can all go to hell. Rant over. 

► It's NY Fashion Week and celebs were spotted out and about at various fashion shows.  Last week I reported on Katie Holmes who opted to wear a cut-out priest frock over a diaper tutu at the Victoria Beckham show. Well, over the weekend she showed up to the Alice + Olivia show wearing THIS denim mess. Comment: First of, why in the hell is she wearing pink socks with sandals? Look closely at her feet. She seems to have a serious case of bunions and/ or hammer toes. And, if she does then she needs to wear proper footwear for crying out loud. Let's discuss the Canadian tuxedo she shamefully bastardized with with a khaki jacket from Wet Seal 1997 collection. I think Katie's fashion sense is that of a toddler who will wear anything they grab. Or maybe she dresses like everyday is Halloween. Who knows.
