WEEKEND MORNING COFFEE: Another Day, Another Reboot. Amazing Snow Sculptures. Caitlyn Jenner Follows Gina's Playbook.

♦  Another day, another reboot. Lazy execs at CBS are rebooting "Matlock". The original series starred Andy Griffith and ran from 1986-1995.  CBS started working on the reboot last year but things came to a grinding halt due to the SAG-WGA strike. But it's full steam ahead now. The reboot will have Kathy Bates in the starring role of Matlock, the septuagenarian lawyer / crime solver. She will be joined by Jason Ritter, David Del Rio, Skye P. Marshall, Leah Lewis, and Beau Bridges who will play "Senior", the law firm's top dog. BTW, Beau replaces Jaimey Sheridan (of Law & Order Criminal Intent). The studio gave no reason why Beau replaced Jaimey. Oh  well.  The reboot is scheduled for the 2024/2025 TV season on CBS. Read More

Comment:  I never liked Matlock. But my dad loved watching it. It was "appointment TV" in our house when it came on. He would watch it while eating peanuts and drinking Olympia beer.  I think he enjoyed being Matlock's arm chair co-pilot sleuth solving whatever legal issue/crime/mystery was going on.

♦ The 74th annual Sapporo Snow Festival in Sapporo, Japan is showing off some incredible snow and ice sculptures for the public to enjoy.  The event attracts 2+ million visitors each year. This year there are 196 sculptures on display and they are breathtaking. These are not your front-yard snow man surrounded by a moat of yellow snow from the neighborhood pooches. The sculptures are truly works of art that boggle the mind.  Below are a few. Read More and  Snow Festival Website

Comment: The time and dedication it takes to create these sculptures is unbelievable. These sculptures are so beautiful.  I wish I had this kind of talent. The only time I made a snow sculpture was a snowman that leaned like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. It had twigs for arms, an old towel for a scarf...basically a hodgepodge of whatever I found. It looked liked Frosty the Snowman morphed into Frankenstein.

♦ Looks like Caitlyn Jenner is taking a page out of Gina Carrano's playbook based on the new game "Let's Sue Disney" by asking Elon Musk for help to sue The Mouse House.  Jenner responded to  Pee On Musk's Twitter post offering legal support to anyone who has a gripe against Disney or their subsidiaries (Hulu, ESPN, ABC, and Marvel). Jenner is considering suing because she's pissed she was not part of the new KUTDK krap show when it switched to Hulu.  According to Jenner (as reported by Business Insider): Read More

"Jenner wrote: "Hulu (Disney subsidiary) never put me on my family's show — I had been on since day 1 — when it switched from E!"  Back in in January, Jenner made similar comments when conservative political consultant Richard Grenell criticized Disney for being "partisan" in a post on X (Twitter). In her response to Grenell, the reality star also took aim at CEO Bob Iger. "I wonder if that's why they fired me from my family's reality show when it switched over to Hulu (@Disney), from E!. I must not be woke enough," Jenner said. "Too bad… I remember when Bob Iger was a young, hard working, valet, carrying my bags, for me right after I won the Olympics."

Comment: If Caitlyn is pissed that she's not on the new Kardtrashkan show on Hulu, she needs to take it up with ex-wife Kris Jenner and the koven since they control the casting. Also, Caitlyn needs to ask herself why the Koven didn't include her. I'm sure she already knows the answer. Seems like Caitlyn has nothing better to do since her career prospects have dried up like her parched skin and hair.
