WEEKEND MORNING COFFEE: Leo "Is Too Weird & Old" (so says a model). Ray Donovan Getting A Spinoff. The Crow Reboot Is Gonna SUUUUUCK.

♦  Playboy model Hieke Konings (22) was recently interviewed by the Dutch edition of Playboy and she decided to spill a bit of tea about habitual dater of young women Leonardo DiCaprio. Hieke met Leo at an LA club where she was spotted by his manager, who then had her brought over to Leo's table.  Was Leo having open auditions for his infamous "pussy posse"? Anyway, Hieke and Leo got all chummy and started kissing when he asked her to go back to his place. Hieke told him "Nope" and had this to say about the encounter: Read More

"We kissed for a while, and then he asked me to come home with him,” she claimed. “I said no. He reacted very shocked. Of course he wasn’t used to it. When I said I didn’t know him well enough, he responded sweetly, ‘I respect that.’ Whereupon he turned to another girl and took her home! “I had heard from other girls that he could be very strange,” she said. “For example, one friend said he kept his earphones in during sex because he didn’t want to hear her — and another said he even put a pillow on her head.” She added, “No, Leo is too weird and too old.”

Comment: The rumors about Leo's freaky ways have been circulating for years. I subscribe to the school of thought that there's a grain of truth to every rumor. So I believe there's some truth to the Leo rumors. IMO, Leo has some deep rooted issues with women that not even Sigmund Freud could solve.  It doesn't say much about this character or how he views women when he has his manager conduct impromptu cattle calls / auditions. It's gross. Anyway, my message to the women who are thinking about participating in Leo's "auditions": go find some self respect.

♦ Showtime's "Ray Dononvan" is getting a spinoff on Paramount+. The spinoff, "The Donovans"  will be loosely based on the original series that starred Liev Schreiber drama. Guy Ritchie has signed up to direct and serve as executive producer. No word on who will be starring or even if Liev will be involved. The series will be 10 episodes and is being described as: Read More

"With the most powerful clients in Europe, The Donovans will see family fortunes and reputations at risk, odd alliances unfold, and betrayal around every corner; and while the family might be London's most elite fixers today, the nature of their business means there is no guarantee what's in store tomorrow."

Comment: Um, that description reads like a bunch of gobbledygook written by AI. Can't they hire better writers to crank out this stuff? If Liev is not going to be featured in the spinoff then I'm not interested. No thanks.

♦ The 1994 movie, The Crow, which starred the late Brandon Lee, is getting a reboot. Um, who the hell asked for this reboot? I'd like to slap the idiot who green-lighted this project. Anyway, the reboot stars Bill Skarsgard as Eric Draven and FKA Twigs as his fiancee. It's being directed by Rupert Sanders (of Snow White & The Hunstman). The original director of The Crow, Alex Proyas, is not impressed with the early screen shots of the reboot. Actually, he's pretty disgusted with what they're doing to the movie and had this to say: Read More

"Eric Draven’s having a bad hair day. Next reboot thanks,’ he commented next to a photo of SkarsgĂ„rd and FKA twigs, real name Tahlia Debrett Barnett, chatting by a fire. "‘I guess he’s supposed to be a bad mofo with all those tats and werewolves and skulls on his jacket,’ the (original director Alex Proyas)  added alongside a laugh-crying emoji, suggesting he was not impressed by the makeover.'

Comment: Social media injected its 2-cents about this unnecessary reboot by comparing Skarsgard's character looking like Jared Leto as The Joker in Suicide Squad. I agree. And, why the hell is he sporting a mullet in the the screen shot below? This is a hairstyle that needs to stayed buried! JFC, they're doing this movie dirty. I can see why the original directory is pissed. Just look at these photos...gaagh!
