Who is August's Shitbag of the Month?

First up is Lilly Allen. The British singer faced criticism this month when she revealed that she re-homed her puppy back in 2021 after the dog destroyed her and her children's passports. She says she "tried really hard" with her but she was a badly behaved dog and it just wasn't working. Fans and (of course) PETA chimed in with their admonishments, accusing Allen of treating the puppy like an accessory. However, many made the counter-point that people should not feel ashamed to re-home an animal that they aren't equipped to care for, and the stigma around this only makes matters worse for the pets. What do you think, Peckers?

Our second contestant is Kate Beckinsale. The English actress was exposed on X for not paying a $3,000 massage bill. The owner of the Bionic Method massage company shared an email he sent to Beckinsale's assistant requesting payment for his services after multiple failed attempts. Let's hope she coughed up the cash after this embarrassment!

Third up is Blake Lively. What a month she and her husband have had. The actress starred in the movie It Ends With Us which is based on the popular book by author Colleen Hoover. Despite Lively promoting the movie as if it is a lighthearted romcom, the film actually deals with an abusive relationship. She and the film's producer (and costar) Justin Baldoni appear to be on the outs, seemingly having had creative differences on set, and their promotion of the movie has been a mess. Things went from bad to worse for Lively after an old interview she did in 2016 resurfaced. The interviewer, Kjersti Flaa, congratulated Lively on her "little bump" as she was pregnant at the time. Lively sarcastically congratulated Flaa on her little bump and continued to make snarky remarks with Parker Posey. It has since been revealed that Flaa was infertile, making the comment even more painful for the interviewer. Lively has been receiving all kinds of criticism this month for her bitchy behaviour.

Speaking of abuse, our fourth candidate is Nicki Minaj's husband, Kenneth Petty. Now this man has a long career of being a complete piece of shit, including the attempted rape of a minor in 1995 and failing to register as a sex offender when he moved to LA with Minaj. This month, Petty faced backlash from Minaj's fans when he uttered a gay slur while she was on TikTok live. So not only is Petty a rapist, he's also a bigot! Nicki sure knows how to pick 'em!

Our final shitbag is weird bird feeder Alicia Silverstone. The actress shared a video of herself walking in London, where she found a mysterious berry in someone's garden. She said she has no idea what it is and then proceeded to pop it in her mouth. Concerned fans immediately identified the fruit as a Jerusalem cherry, which is poisonous. Luckily Silverstone was fine, but eating random fruit off of someone's private property and not even attempting to identify it seems like an incredibly foolish thing to do.
