OPEN POST: The New Yorker, Circa 1952

I came across this New Yorker cover the other day and there's something about it that just hooked me. There's such a sense of luxury, with an older well-dressed woman surrounded by beautiful flowers in her observatory amid the snowy weather outside. I can only imagine the opulence of her apartment. Wouldn't you just love to be invited in for tea?
