OPEN POST: Unwinding On Sundays, Or Art And Cocktails!

Meow to you, fellow Peckers! How do you like to spend your Sundays? For me, even after a busy holiday, Sundays are the perfect day for art and cocktails. I love allowing my eyes to absorb all the shapes and colors at various museum exhibits as a way to both end the week and herald a new one. Sundays are like a stasis chamber for me - a lull between the bright festivities of Saturday and the hurry-scurry of Monday - and so the perfect time to be swept away by art. 


And after? I want nothing more than a relaxing time with friends and loved ones over cocktails and noshes, where the conversation is light and easy. And please, no politics, at least for now. After that? All bets are off. A nap before dinner, maybe, or the comfort of a good film noir on TCM.

I came across this New Yorker cover the other day and there's something about it that just hooked me. There's such a sense of luxury, with an older well-dressed woman surrounded by beautiful flowers in her observatory amid the snowy weather outside. I can only imagine the opulence of her apartment.
