OPEN POST: An Ode To Deep 'n Delicious Cake

There's been a recent trend on TikTok where international visitors to Canada wanted to try the famed McCain Deep 'n Delicious cake. This is a Canadian classic that you can find in the freezer section of any reputable grocery and/or corner store. The delicacy comes in a few different flavours, including Chocolate, Vanilla, and Marble (with chocolate icing). It's almost a Canadian rite of passage to consume an entire DnD cake at some point in your life. TikToker Andrian Makhnachov, who hails from Sweden, tried the treat on his channel and stated he thinks it would be "good for people with depression." He's not wrong! Canadian Peckers, do you enjoy the occasional Deep n Delicious cake?

Seen here in a fetching eyelet-embroidered gown, La Lana's life had much turmoil: her father's premature passing, seven tumultuous marriages as well as innumerable affairs (one of them ending with a dreadful finality on Good Friday, 1958). But far more devastating to her than any of those misfortunes were the critic's assessments of her performances. In her first technicolor feature, 1948's "The Three Musketeers," Pauline Kael wrote, "As Lady de Winter, Lana Turner sounds like a drive-in waitress exchanging quips with hot-rodders." And 20 years later, Kael was even more damning in her opinion of Turner in "Madame X": "She's not Madame X, she's brand X."
