OPEN POST: Pete "Dreamboat" Doherty at Glastonbury

What a blast from the past! I was reading about Glastonbury 2025 and came across this image of Pete Doherty, who will be performing on the Greenpeace stage today with his band, The Libertines. Doherty claims that his Glastonbury experience will be a bit different this year as he is with his 2-year old daughter and will be searching out "playgrounds and ice creams." He told reporter Charlotte Gallagher (pictured above) that he loves the magic of Glastonbury and it will always be special to him.

In 1982, I was a poor, yet simple, boy of 8 or 9, and I watched everything. We had 3 networks and 2 PBS stations, as well as 2 local stations that showed bowling, farm reports and some sort of stupid puppet show - as well as a really awesome show on Saturday nights that had old black-and-white, scary (but not really scary) movies. "Fantasies" was not among those, though it was a major, prime-time network movie, and it concerned the stars of "a very sexy soap opera" being murdered by a psycho stalker killer, the hook being that it starred ACTUAL SOAP OPERA STARS (!), the main one being the delightful Miss Robin Mattson from "General Hospital" and that dude from "All My Children" who's most famous for the commercial in which he muttered those immortal words, "I'm not a doctor, but I play one on TV."
