EVENING NIGHTCAP: Entitlement + Dorm Rooms = WTF. Nice Parenting *insert sarcasm*

Programming Note: Due to work schedule, I will be posting infrequently for the next few weeks. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

► In the old days, dorm rooms were typically decorated with posters, small futon, and whatever crap your parents unloaded on you. When I went to college, my dorm room was decorated with posters of 1980s & 1990s bands and the periodic table of beer, a small side table missing a corner piece and a peacock wicker chair from Pier 1 that my mom hated so I took it. Today's college students would look down in disgust at this.

Nowadays students from entitled families are hiring dorm interior design services who charge up to $10,000 to decorate a dorm room. No longer does a freshman have to put up with a plywood bed and desk. They can now have a luxury headboard, wallpaper, window coverings, bed linens, custom furniture, artwork, and anything else a college freshman needs to tell the world, "I'm rich, bitch". Or "I'm faux rich cause I took out a huge student loan to pay for this stuff". In our social media obsessed vapid world, a professionally decorated room is the status symbol that sets the tone for a student's area of study, clubs they join and who they hang out with. Dorm room decor has caught the eye of retailers who want to cash in. Urban Outfitters has an exclusive dorm line; and Williams Sonoma created a separate entity "Dormify" that sells everything young aspiring Karens need to create a glamorous study environment they will never use. We all know these students aren't at college to learn. They're there to hang out at the Quad in hopes of being a WAG.  Read More

Comment:  This trend reeks of parents who want to re-live their college experience through their spawns. When I read about this, the people who are doing it are exactly what I'd expect: Karens and mini Karens-in training. Entitled assholes whose idea of hard work is flipping through wallpaper samples while sipping Moscow Mules and berating the hired help for forgetting to pack their eye mask.

►PW Manor takes pride in being a Kardtrashkan-free zone. However, every once in a while this trash family does something that is so outrageous it points out their contribution to the rot of society and disintegration of responsible parenting. Kim Kardtrashkan and her 12 year old daughter, North, were photographed doing the mother-daughter prositot stroll wearing their best clearance rack outfits from Frederick's of Hollywood. Yes, that is a 12 year old girl wearing an outfit suited for  hostess work on the second shift at a 24 hour massage parlor.   Read More

Comment: With Kim Kardtrashkan and Kanye West for parents, this kid never had a chance. What kind of a perverted message is Kim sending by allowing her 12 year old girl wear a push-up corset and sexualizing her. Same goes for BeYAWNCE and her 13 year old  daughter, Blue Ivy. These momagers are stealing the childhood from their kids. They don't give a damn about the damage they're doing to them and to countless little girls who think this is what they should aspire to be. I hope they have set aside a therapy fund.
