The countdown begins! Only 3 years and 6 months are left in Dump's Presidential term. A mere 15 months and 6 days are left till the midterms, which can potentially kneecap the remainder Dump's Presidency going forward. But do you think this will actually happen? What with voter ennui, illegal redistricting and the failure of "youth" to even bother showing up at the polls (the kids are not alright)? I'm optimistic by nature, but even I'm doubtful.

In the meantime, here are some horrifying and hilariously horrifying stories you might have missed this past week.

1. Disabled voters aren't known to be MAGA devotees, so MAGA is planning ahead. MORE HERE.



2. Geoffrey Hinton, an AI pioneer, says there's a 10-20% chance that AI technology "will end in human extinction." That's not good, right? MORE HERE.


3. Speaking of AI, why did AI break up with the sushi chef? It said he had too many raw emotions. Oh, hahahahahaha! Also, be afraid. Be very afraid. MORE HERE.

OPEN POST: Tiffany Haddish and (not THAT) Jason Lee Had a Baby

Today in "WTF?", Tiffany Haddish looks to have had a baby with her friend, Jason Lee. The 45-year old comedian shared this photo to her instagram with the caption "Cat's out of the bag." This seems totally random, but the two had previously discussed their baby pact on Lee's Hollywood Unlocked podcast this past November. Lee, who is gay, expressed his desire to raise a child with Haddish but did not have any interest in conceiving the old fashioned way. It appears they have figured it out! Haddish has long expressed her desire to adopt a child, despite previous controversies that suggest she is a child abuser. In 2022, Haddish was sued by two anonymous plaintiffs who allege that they were groomed and abused by Haddish when they were children. OPEN POST: With The Old Mill Pond By The Old Mill Stream!

In about 1820-something, the first European immigrants to settle hereabouts (fuckin' Krauts, just like me) built a mill, and it made them very wealthy. They were generous and decent people over the years (their former home is now a museum) and "The Old Mill" (even though it was disused the last few decades) stood tall. People loved it. It was one of those places that made everyone nostalgic, even as weatherbeaten and decrepit as it must have looked by the 1950s. But then it burned down one night, and as much as I've looked online, I've never found a picture of it. But clues remain. After it burned down, they left the cogs and gears where they fell, possibly out of respect for the old structure (but more likely because they probably weigh about 6 tons; they're so heavy they've sunk to slightly below ground level), but either way I like it.
