Who is April's Shitbag of the Month?

Our first April contender is Katy Perry. The 41-year old popstar found herself in hot water this month when Ruby Rose shared that she had been sexually assaulted by Perry back in 2010. Rose alleges that she was at a Melbourne nightclub laying on a friend's lap, when Perry approached her and stuck her crotch on the actor's face. Rose says she was violently ill immediately after the assault. Police are allegedly investigating the incident. Perry has denied the claims and says that Rose has a history of making "serious allegations against various individuals that have been denied by those named."

Well, looky here! Our second contender was actually married to our first contender once upon a time. How romantic! Next up is actor-turned-religious-guru Russell Brand. Brand, who won SBOTM twice last year, is keeping his shitbag streak alive and well this year. In April, Brand admitted to sleeping with a 16-year old girl back when he was 30. He says that it was totally fine and there's no reason to freak out, because 16 is the age of consent in England and he was an "immature" 30-year old. Yeah, no shit. Brand is currently dealing with multiple rape and sexual assault charges, with trials expected later this year.

Our third turd has a relatively tame story compared with her two predecessors. Farrah Abraham was called out by a hairstylist this month after she left a 12-hour long appointment for her and her daughter without paying for the services or promoting the salon, as had originally been agreed. Marseya McAnally, a Texas hairstylist, alleges that she planned to do a social media collaboration with Abraham. She shared photos of the teen mom's matted hair before spending hours repairing damage sustained from improper extension care. McAnally claims that Abraham blocked her after leaving the salon and failed to promote it in any way. Abraham went on an unhinged social media rant, claiming McAnally is mentally ill and that Abraham is a "celeb who was kind to a jealous hater."

Fourth up is Scott Baio. The 65-year old actor spoke about his previous Charles in Charge costar, Nicole Eggert, in a recent interview with "Arroya Grande" podcast. Eggert filed a police report in 2018, alleging that Baio had sexually assaulted her over ten times while the two worked together on the TV show. She was 14 at the time. Baio denied the allegations and nothing came of the report. In his recent interview, Baio denied any wrongdoing and said that he believed Eggert's claims were motivated by money. He says he took two lie detector tests to clear his name, and he says that he hopes she's miserable because what her allegations did to him and his family were "unconscionable."

Our last SBOTM finalist is a real doozy. D4vd, a 21-year old singer, was arrested this month for allegedly murdering his 14-year old "girlfriend" and stuffing her body in the trunk of a car. D4vd originally met Celeste Rivas Hernandez when she was 11, and went on to sexually assault her when she was 13 and he was 18. According to texts between the two before Hernandez's murder, she claimed she was going to expose their relationship and "destroy his life." Prosecutors believe the singer killed Hernandez the day after those texts. He also used a fake name to purchase two chainsaws, a body bag and a shovel online. Hernandez's family reported her missing in 2024, and her remains were eventually found in the trunk of a Tesla in September 2025 when he was on tour. The tour was quickly cancelled and the singer laid low until his arrest in April.
