Who is May's Shitbag of the Month?

Our first May SBOTM contender is Steven Tyler. The Aerosmith frontman is being sued by Julia Misley, who alleges that Tyler groomed and sexually assaulted her back in the 1970s. Misley claims that she and Tyler began a relationship when she was 16 and he was in his mid-20s. If that wasn't icky enough, the singer even convinced Misley's mother to grant him legal guardianship over her daughter so she could travel with the band when they went on tour. She also alleges that she became pregnant with Tyler's baby, and he convinced her to get an abortion. While much of Misley's original lawsuit has been thrown out due to the statute of limitations on sexual assault, a judge has granted permission for the allegations that occurred in Los Angeles to proceed to court, due to the state's "lookback window" law. Tyler denies any wrongdoing, despite the fact that his 2011 memoir literally discusses his relationship with a teenager in the. 70s.

Next up is M.I.A. 'Memba her?! The Paper Planes singer was invited to be on Kid Cudi's North American tour, but was booted off in May after she made "offensive remarks" onstage at a May 2 show. At this event, the singer claimed she was a "brown Republican voter" and said there could be "illegals" in the audience. When she was booed, she said, "alright, I am illegal. Half of my team are not here because they didn't get the visa, okay?...We should be above politics." Uh, okay. This is not the first time singer has shared her political views, and she is citing this as a reason for her lawsuit against Cudi as a result of this incident. She claims that she was given full creative control over her performance and that Cudi and Live Nation are in breach of contract for removing her. She also claims to have lost out on over $2 million she was promised for this tour. Looks like her paycheck is.....MIA! HA!

Third up is Patagonia. Yes, the expensive outdoor clothing company. They are currently embroiled in a copyright infringement lawsuit against Pattie Gonia, a drag queen and environmental activist. Gonia, whose legal name is Wyn Wiley, is accusing the apparel brand of bullying her and potentially ending her career as an activist. The lawsuit, which is for $1, alleges that Pattie Gonia has gone beyond "discrete use of a persona to engage in activism" after Wiley filed a trademark application seeking exclusive rights to Pattie Gonia for apparel, marketing and events. Patagonia claims they have tried to work with Pattie Gonia on a mutually beneficial path forward, but that using her name on branded merchandise infringes on the company's obligation to police their trademark. Pattie Gonia also uses the company's iconic mountain background on her merchandise website, which can lead to confusion among consumers about whether or not she is affiliated with the company. What do you think, Peckers? Does Patatgonia have a point?

Fourth up is Morgan Wallen. God, I hate writing about this smooth-brained motherfucker. Why is he on our list now? Well recently at a concert in Denver, the singer had a temper tantrum when his piano was malfunctioning. He flipped the piano over, breaking it and shocking fans. This isn't the only time the singer has lost his cool: he set the stage on fire during his 2025 "I'm the Problem" tour, and even last week he was recorded throwing a fan's phone at his concert. He also received two years' probation after throwing a chair off a rooftop bar in April 2025. What a charmer.

Last is Pete Davidson. The comedian, who last appeared on our SBOTM roundup last year when he performed at the Riyadh Comedy Festival, was called out this month by his ex-girlfriend and baby mama for allegedly being a deadbeat dad. Davidson began dating Elsie Hewitt, a model, back in March 2025. The pair announced in July of that year that they were expecting a baby, whom they welcomed in December. In may 2026 the pair announced that they had broken up. Hewitt then took to social media to share how hard things had been for her, while also claiming that Davidson does not see or financially support their daughter. A source close to Davidson denies the allegations, claiming that he's "already paying her more than he has to" and that he has helped the model to secure opportunities as a result of their relationship.
