OPEN POST: Getting Older Can Be Alright!

Image
Like many of you, I was nearly moved to tears when I saw Dick Van Dyke in a music video the other day, and it got me to thinking about how many octogenarians are around and how much we cherish them, like the always lovable, supremely talented Carol Burnett and the forever ageless and stately Catherine Deneuve, to name just two. But then I thought, "What about regular folk?" That's when Mike Petross and Phil Pugh came to mind. Three years ago, they gobsmacked everyone when they appeared in a Washington Post article entitled, " Black, Gay and Graying Gracefully in Love " by Black journalist  Jamal Jordan . At the top of the article, Jamal admitted,  "The idea of growing old as a gay man used to terrify me. I simply had no concept of what longevity looked like for gay Black men." Representation is everything, and there simply wasn't much coverage about older gay men, and there was almost none if they were Black. There still isn't. In the article...

OPEN POST: Norma Visits The Manor!

Image
Bow down, bitches. Miss Norma Desmond, the famed star of stage and screen, has decided to bless the Manor with her presence today. Or rather, La Burnett, who first played Norma on her variety show in 1976, and continued  the role in a delightful series of sketches which parodied Gloria Swanson's silent movie queen from the 1950 film-noir, "Sunset Boulevard."  But it wasn't just Gloria who fueled Norma. She died at age 36 from tuberculosis.  Reportedly, Gloria got a good chuckle out of Carol's performa...

WHO'S THIS WEEK'S THIRSTIEST HO? Is It Ivanka Trump? Or Dylan Dreyer? Or Ricky Martin's 1960s-Era Speedos?

Image
Welcome, fellow trollops, to the latest edition of "Who's This Week's Thirstiest Ho?" Today's trio are so dry, they're asses are chapped, so they need all the moisture they can get. First, brace yourselves, because whatever you want to call her - "Incest Barbie" leaps to mind, but I also like "Her Irredeemable Awfulness," "The I.C.E. Princess" and "Daddy's Little Ghoul" - Ivanka Trump is determined to win back her life of cocktail parties, darling Instagram Mommy Moments, and lying through her capped teefs for fun and profit. "Perception is more important than reality," she once cooed. No word on whether she "teehee'd" after she said that, but I bet she did. So while she was all in for Daddy's ruination of America during his presidency - again, for fun and profit (teehee) - she'd like you to forget all about that now. No, really. Never happened. She's harmless. Don't you worry,...
