Lizzo Sued For Fat-Shaming And Sexual Harassment!

Today in "It Seems Like Everyone's A Sleazy Fuckin' Ho," Lizzo, the feel-good flute-player and pop songstress - along with her tour manager, Shirlene Quigley - has been sued in Los Angeles Superior Court for "sexual harassment," "fat shaming" "religious and racial harassment" and "false imprisonment" by several of her tour dancers and staffers. The details, according to NBC News, aren't pretty, and include charges that dancers and staffers who did not attend the tour's after-parties, which weren't mandatory, experienced far less job security, and in some cases, were publicly fired.

Wait, it gets worse, At these parties, many held at strip clubs, Lizzo allegedly “began inviting cast members to take turns touching nude performers...ordered them to catch dildos launched from the performers’ vaginas...and eat bananas protruding from the performers’ vaginas,” the suit says. “Lizzo (also) began pressuring them to fondle the breasts of one of the nude women."

I want to disbelieve this, especially since Lizzo has been such a force in body positivity. But swell-headed performers who think they can get away with anything? Tale as old as Kevin Spacey, R. Kelley, Jared Leto, James Franco, et al, and while Lizzo's actions don't involve rape - the go-to for swell-headed male performers! - they do allegedly involve egregious sexual humiliation. Which is bad (just ask Lena Dunham's sister!).

As far as I know, Lizzo doesn't have a Warner Bros. superhero franchise movie opening any time soon, so maybe this suit will go somewhere. Or maybe, like most suits of this kind, it'll be settled out of court, everyone involved will sign an NDA, and Lizzo will continue to be America's darlingest hero who smashes stereotypes for big woman everywhere. Including the stereotype that they're special. In case no one told them today.
