Back in 2017, Paris Hilton decided to stake her claim in the history of inventions by claiming she invented the selfie. Well, fast forward to 2023 and she's at it AGAIN. It seems like Paris Hilton is doing whatever it takes to rehab her image and make a comeback on the pop culture scene. Ugh, I know. She can't seem to take a hint that she's about as relevant these days as fax machine. Because the 42 year old Queen of Valtrex can't seem to take a hint and just go away, she went on Twitter to make the outlandish claim - again - that SHE, along with Britney Spears, invented the selfie. She posted this on Twitter:
"17 years ago, Britney and I created the selfie! Tag me with your most epic selfies to celebrate the most iconic invention".

Um, no. First of, I can think of thousands of other things that have been invented throughout human history that are way more iconic and important than a damn selfie. How about the invention of the telegraph? electricity? combustible engine? vaccines? printing press? I can go on and on. But we are talking about Paris Hilton whose knowledge about anything beyond a tube of lip gloss wouldn't fit in a shot glass.
Selfies are nothing more than a person taking their own photo. If this shit for brains would bother to read anything besides party invites, she would know this. Robert Cornelius, a Philadelphia photographer is by all historical accounts the first person to have taken a self portrait. He did this in 1839 when he was 30 years old. Since then, the idea of a person taking their own photo is neither new nor an "iconic invention" as Paris Hilton claims.

Since Paris asked social media to tag her with epic selfies, here's what I would share. Feel free to express your own feelings. Maybe this time she'll finally take a hint that the world has moved on from her bullshit.
