Who is May's Shitbag of the Month?
First up this month are Alison Brie and Dave Franco. The couple are facing a copyright infringement suit pertaining to their upcoming body horror film, Together. The plaintiff, Patrick Henry Phelan, alleges that the film is a blatant rip-off of his 2023 independent movie titled Better Half. The plaintiff claims that both works centre around a couple who wake up to find their bodies physically fused together as a metaphor for codependency. The script for Better Half was allegedly pitched to Franco and Brie back in 2020, but they rejected the offer because "they wanted to produce the film themselves and have WME, their agency, package the project with one of the agency's own writers." Hmm, that sounds pretty damning to me!
Second is Michael Pitt. The pouty actor was arrested and charged for sex crimes and assaults that occurred in 2020 and 2021. While the indictment does not specify how many people are accusing Pitt of the crimes, his charges are related to four separate incidents. It is alleged that he used a cinderblock in one of these assaults and also allegedly strangled someone. The twice-divorced star has plead not-guilty to the crimes and "looks forward to proving his innocence" during the court proceedings that begin in June.
Our third contender is Sean Penn. The 64-year old controversial actor did an interview for Louis Theroux's podcast this month where he defended disgraced film director Woody Allen and claimed he would "work with him again in a heartbeat if it was the right thing." Penn went on to say that the allegations made against Allen (aka his adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, who claims he molested her when she was a child) were "mostly told by people who I would not trust with a dime." Well we all know Penn is the poster child for morality, so anyone he doesn't trust is surely a lying liar who lies.

Fourth up is French actor Gérard Depardieu. The 76-year old was found guilty in a French court this month of two counts of sexual assault. Two women accused him of having groped them during a film production in 2021. These are only the latest in many allegations made against Depardieu over the years. He was given a delayed jail sentence of 18 months and will register as a sex offender. Gee, they really threw the book at him!
Our final Shitbag is Brigitte Macron. The 72-year old groomer was under fire this month when a video surfaced of her shoving her husband, French president Emmanuel Macron, in the face while the two were about to disembark a plane in Vietnam. Macron downplayed the incident, claiming the two were "squabbling and joking" and that "everyone needs to calm down." The pair's relationship has always been marred with controversy, as the two first met when Macron was a 15-year old student and Brigitte was a teacher who was 25 years his senior. The two allegedly began an affair in 1993 and eventually wed in 2007. So it appears Brigitte Macron is an abusive POS in more ways than one.
