I'M BACK! ♥ EVENING NIGHTCAP: STFU Rumer. "Hear Ye, Hear Ye" It's Walmart Wallis. Seacrest's Face...Sheesh.

I've missed you dumplings! My massive work project has kept me away from snarking on celebs.  Things are starting slow down (a bit), so I hope to resume by normal posting schedule starting next week. Fingers crossed. Okay, let's get to it.

► Singer and actress Rumer Willis...(I laughed as I typed that), uploaded an IG video of her strolling in the woods and complaining about how hard her life is as a single parent to her 2 year old daughter. BTW, Rumer is the spawn of Bruce Willis & Demi Moore. She's lived a life of privileged and wealth. Anyhoo, through a flood of tears that raised the sea levels more than all the glaciers in the world spontaneously melting, Rumer  whined and sobbed about the hardships of raising a kid on her own since she split from her boyfriend. She concluded her "Woe Is Me" audition video for  martyrdom status by giving the camera a thumbs up. The internet had no sympathy for the heaping pile of whine casserole Rumer served with a side of elitism. Comment: As a nepo spawn, Rumer has been living in the lap of luxury and continues to do so. She has no clue what a REAL single parent goes through. The average single parent's life does not include having a nanny, going pilates class, meeting your GFs for hot yoga, or spending the afternoon shopping at West End Elm for throw pillows. The reality of a single parent includes dealing with the hassle of finding affordable child care, holding down a job, trying to put food on the table, and paying bills only to find that at the end of the month you barely have enough to afford gas for your 1992 Corolla that's being held by duct tape. STFU Rumer. 
 


► Walmart Wallis is making the media rounds to promote her holiday Netflix special. She was  interviewed by Harper's Bazaar to talk about her favorite topic: herself. They featured her on the on the cover sans fard. How brave and authentic! The interview took place at 2 locations on 2 separate occasions because she's so busy running her strawberry jam empire. I decided to take one for the PW Manor team and skimmed the article. It read like a 1,000 page biography written by James Michener. I lost count how many times the words "authentic" and "brave" were used. One part  of the article that stood out for me was when the interviewer showed up at NYC to meet Walmart Wallis. The interviewer wrote: Read More 

"We’re in a grand brownstone on the Upper East Side that belongs to one of Meghan’s friends. When I enter, the house manager announces, “Meghan, Duchess of Sussex,” even though we appear to be the only other two people in the house".

Comment: Oh burn! Leave it to the Marvelous Miss Markle to demand the house manager announce her presence like a town crier despite her being the only person at home. I'm glad the writer included that zing. The other thing that stood out for me was WW bragging about going to lunch with "Glo". That's how she referred to the legendary Gloria Steinem. Finally, WW said this about Temu Edward: "no one loves me as boldly as H" - that's her pet name for Harry. Gag me.

►Perusing the internet for crumbs like my dog after I'm done scarfing down a bag of Corn Nuts, I found an interesting headline about Ryan Seacrest. The article by Globe Magazine goes on and on about how he can't find true love, bla, bla, bla. Who cares. What caught my attention was his face. Sheesh, I haven't seen a photo of him in a while. He looks awful. Whatever is going on with him, it needs to stop.  Read More

Did you know there are over a thousand days left  until Trump's 2nd Presidential term is over? Greetings, music sloots and welcome to another edition of Manor Music Monday! Today we have a beautiful-sounding mystery, because unlike so many music performers, past or present, there's virtually nothing to be found out about this one-of-a-kind jazz songstress on the internet - which, no matter your background or era, is pretty hard to do these days. And these days? We really need her.  Yes, we desperately need the dulcet tones from a singer who's been there and back. In fact, we need Cora Lee Day (center in the photo above), a noted actress who had a late-career renaissance in "What's Love Got To Do With It?" and the compelling  "Daughter's Of The Dust," for which she should have received an Academy Award (or at least a nomination) (but I digress) (as I'm wont to do).
