EVENING NIGHTCAP: Celebs & Baby Pics Paychecks. You Tube Wins & Network TV Lose. Golden Retrievers!

► Hilary Baldwin created an uproar when she opened her yogahole and disclosed she was paid $95,000 for selling photos of one of her kids with Alec Baldwin. That got me thinking about the obscene amount of money celebs have made from selling baby photos of their spawns for an easy paycheck. You'd think these celebs who have a net worth of a small country would not sell out their kids at such a young age. But they do. And, those that have, you'd think they would donate their windfall. NOPE. Most of them pocketed the money or channeled it to their own private foundation a.k.a.tax loophole of the wealthy. Below are the top 10 most expensive baby photos. BTW, these figures are not adjusted in today's dollars. So the $15 million Jolie-Pitt stain made back inn 2008 = $22 million in 2025. Read More

Comment: Why would anyone pay Jamie Lynn Spears $1 million for a pic of her kid? I get it that 20 years ago she was somewhat known. Sheesh, it's still a lot of money for a C+ celeb at best. I guess it was the notoriety of being Britney's 18 yr old little sister who got knocked up. The Jolie-Pitts: WTF! They made almost $20 million from the sale of the kids photos! I remember the public and media frenzy of Shiloh's baby pics back in 2006. I wonder if they argued about that in their never-ending divorce drama. I had no idea that Jennifer Lopez-Noa-Judd-Almost Affleck-Anthony-Almost Rodriguez-Affleck-TBD was paid $6 million. I doubt she set it aside as a college fund for her kids. Ugh. It probably went to divorce attorneys.
► The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences (what a fancy name for Hollywood cesspool) has ditched network TV like an outdated Member's Only Jacket in favor of airing the Oscars on You Tube. Starting 2029, the Oscars will be exclusively televised/streamed live on You Tube. That's a huge loss to ABC who has aired the ceremonies for what seems like eternity (50 years). Over the past 15-20 years, viewership for the Oscars has been a slow skid to irrelevancy. Last year only 19.7 million people who had nothing better to do watched it. This compares to 40 million back in late 1990s. I don't know of anyone who can sit through 3 hours of it. A spokesho for AMPAS snorted out this reason for the change. Read More
“The Academy is an international organization, and this partnership will allow us to expand access to the work of the Academy to the largest worldwide audience possible — which will be beneficial for our Academy members and the film community.”
What a load of crap. Lemme interpret that statement in layman's terms: Sorry Grandma...but You Tube is paying us more money. The contract between AMPAS and You Tube runs from 2029 - 2033.
Comment: I haven't watched a network TV show in years. Plus, I don't watch award shows so I don't give a Flip Wilson wig about this. The cat in gif below captures my reaction.
► At a park in Buenos Aires last week, 2,397 Golden Retrievers gathered, hoping to set a new world record. The pooches sniffed, barked, and pooped while keeping their paws crossed they were able to defeat the previous world record of 1,685 set in Vancouver. In the end, it was mission accomplished! Congrats! Read More
