Does anyone else miss the 90s? The past couple years, especially, have really made me yearn for simpler times. Youtube is an amazing time capsule for so much past media, 90s cooking shows being no exception. I came across an episode of Two Fat Ladies and my cortisol levels instantly dropped. Their no-nonsense approach to cooking, combined with their cozy kitchen set, felt like a warm hug from two old (fat) friends. Sigh. Then I began to reminisce about other cooking shows I loved from that time. Remember At Home with Arlene Williams ? Those cabinets! I also liked Caprial's Cafe .  And Canadian Peckers surely remember Wok with Yan ! He was around for decades! Did you love any of these treasures? What 90s shows do you miss? Our first contender for August Shitbag is Eli Roth. The horror director and Greta Thunberg bully  faced backlash this month when he admitted that he'd used generative AI in the production of his latest film, Ice Cream Man . In an interview with popular digital media site Polygon, Roth discussed his background in animation and shared how he approached the design of certain scenes in the film. He says he drew out the scenes he wanted and worked with an animation team to help match the style of 1920s Mickey Mouse cartoons. Sounds good, right? Well he later clarified that "a very small portion of a few scenes in the film" used generative AI. Roth, who has directed movies like Hostel and Cabin Fever, has successfully used practical effects and garnered a cult following of his work. Saw this the other day and as best I can figure out it's a 1974 Volkswagon Bus. There was a ton of great tv shows, movies and music in 1974, including this monster-hit: When I was looking up the top songs of '74 I saw that title (MFSB-TSOP:The Sound Of Philadelphia featuring The Three Degrees), it didn't ring a bell with me at all, but as soon as it started playing I recognized it--it's a great song and I never hear it on the radio.   "W Youth" just released its first ever issue, and to celebrate they decided to assault our eyeballs with this photoshoot of Justin and Hailey Bieber acting like they love each other.  I'm assuming this magazine is meant to be like "Teen Vogue" or something. Are the youths really that into this couple? I guess Hailey is an "influencer" but it still seems like an odd choice, as are the photos, which apparently the two took themselves.
