EVENING NIGHTCAP: Tammy & Ana Are Coupling. Gremlins Reboot?
► Contract romance season is in full swing since award season is 6 months away. Yesterday I wrote about Pammy Anderson & Liam Neeson and Katy Perry & Justin Trudeau as celebs who have been seen getting all cozy like teenagers at school dance. Well, today you can add Tammy Cruise (63) and Ana de Armas (37) to the pile. Tammy and Ana have been rumored since February to be "dating" when they were spotted having a cozy dinner in London. The guessing game of whether or not Ana passed the CO$ audition is over. The 2 of them were photographed with a gaggle of paps in tow as they strolled holding hands in Vermont where Ana has a multi-million dollar house. They visited a small town with the cameras capturing their fauxmance as they checked-off activities from a Hallmark movie: Read More

Comment: I'm surprised Tammy is dating someone over the age of 30. Selection of young actresses willing to put up with him and his CO$ crap for the sake of career advancement ain't what it used to be. In the past he would find someone in their 20's and date them for CO$ to approval. Get married and ultimately divorce them by the time they turned 32. His ex-wives were all around 32 when they were kicked to the curb: Mimi Rogers:33; Nicole Kidman:32; and Katie Holmes:32. Ana must really be desperate for fame if she's willing to go this route for career advancement. Dating Ben Affleck didn't work out the way she had hoped for. So, what's in it for Tammy? Now that he's in his mid 60's and thanks to Leah Rimini for revealing that CO$ is a cult and he's their #1 nutjob, Tom is probably eager to be viewed as "normal" by the public. Or maybe he wants to make a sequel to Eyes Wide Shut with Ana.
► Actor Zach Galligan was recently at Comic Con Manchester when he blabbed that Warner Brothers is, "incredibly interested" in making a third Gremlins movie. Zach starred in the original 1984 movie along with Phoebe Cates. A sequel was made in 1990 which, IMO, totally sucked matzo balls. It was awful. Zach went on to say the recent success of the Beetlejuice sequel is prompting Hollywood to grab a can of Pledge to dust off the Gremlins' franchise. He said studio heads are waiting for Steven Spielberg to approve the script since his company, Amblin Entertainment, originally produced it. Spielberg's approval is also pending as he looks for a pen under a mountain of cash on his desk to greenlight a sequel to The Goonies, which is under development. Read More

Comment: I'm pissed that Spielberg is even entertaining the idea of rebooting The Gremlins and The Goonies. He doesn't need the money. The original movies are perfect and don't need updating for "today's audience". Didn't he learn anything from the multiple sequels of Jaws or Indiana Jones? The silly sequels to those movies tainted the franchise. I don't think the world is pounding on Spielberg's door asking for a Goonies or Gremlins rehash /reboot, except for Corey Feldman and Zach Galligan. If Spielberg is bored how about taking up a hobby like shuffleboard or model trains?
